Huggies is making history times two. The diaper giant has not only featured new packaging with dads on it for the first time, it has also featured new packaging with a black father and daughter on the front as well!


The company has received tons of applause and support with this move. Leading the accolades is Joe Flowers Jr. from Chicago, IL. His FB post about the new packaging has of course gone viral with over 100K likes, shares, and comments.

The father and daughter duo on the cover are a part of the companies new eco-friendly diapers, Huggies Special Delivery. Huggies wants to convey that their product is both diverse and environment friendly. The new product is made from plant-based materials made from sugarcane.

And of course, FB wasn’t the only social media outlet that people sounded-off on about the new line of diapers. One social media user said, “I ain’t got no babies, but purchase is a must.” Another stated, “Outstanding! Finally shining a great light on black fathers! Good job. I’ll buy some and give them away!”

While there has been mostly positive feedback for the company, there has also been some negative comments, accusing the company of just using the campaign as a marketing ploy, not a true move towards diversity.
