The five sons of these families were wrongly prosecuted, charged, incarcerated, and later exonerated for the rape and assault of a jogger in Central Park, NY .
The series, directed by Ava DuVernay, features Jharrel Jerome, Asante Blackk, Jovan Adepo, Michael Williams, Logan Marshall-Green, Joshua Jackson, Blair Underwood, Vera Farmiga, John Leguizamo, Felicity Huffman, Niecy Nash, among others.
When They See Us has received 11 nominations for upcoming 71st Primetime Emmy Awards. Among those nominations, young actor Asante Blackk has been tapped for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for his portrayal of Kevin Richardson.
