The five sons of these families were wrongly prosecuted, charged, incarcerated, and later exonerated for the rape and assault of a jogger in Central Park, NY .

When They See Us has received 11 nominations for upcoming 71st Primetime Emmy Awards. Among those nominations, young actor Asante Blackk has been tapped for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series for his portrayal of Kevin Richardson.
