Keyshia Cole is not letting pregnancy slow her down! The expectant star performed at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, earlier this week.
Keyshia Cole joined K. Michelle and others in the show’s lineup. Cole’s hit song, ‘I Remember,’ brought back memories from her early days as she belted out the lyrics to a song that helped so many make it through rough spots in relationships and in life.
It may be safe to say that Keyshia Cole has relied on her songs’ lyrics to get through a few rough patches of her own. It was back in 2015 that Keyshia Cole separated from her husband, Daniel Gibson Sr., because of infidelity. The singer told media two years later that her failed marriage still hurt.
“I feel like I’m just now getting over the fact that my marriage didn’t work,” Keyshia revealed. “I’m healing, however,” she added. “And I’m not looking for any kind of substitute — another man, or alcohol — to help the healing or mask the pain I’ve been experiencing.”
Keyshia Cole ended up finding what she was not looking for in the person of Niko Khale. Now, the celebrity couple is expecting their first child together.
“I’m so excited for us,” Cole shared on Instagram last month. “It takes a strong person to give a meaningful, purposeful, love a true shot again. But the real truth is [that] it’s really what both of our hearts desire. The love matches up like candy to an apple. We go together!”
