Chris Brown’s daughter, Royalty Brown, watched as her father went head-to-head against Austin McBroom of the ACE Family in a charity basketball game this past weekend. The event was held on Saturday (June 29) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and shed the spotlight on McBroom and Brown’s basketball skills.
McBroom is a former professional basketball player. It is little wonder, therefore, how his team beat out Chris Brown’s squad in the competition. The final score at Saturday’s game was 100-95. Still, Chris Brown and his team put up quite the fight. The R&B singer’s daughter cheered for her father every step of the way.

This year’s ACE Family charity came with $500,000 in funds for the charities of the winning team’s choice. The unique thing about this past weekend’s competition was the individuality. Unlike other charity events in which one charity is chosen to receive the cash prize, each player on the winning team was awarded $50,000 of which they could choose the non-profit that they deemed most worthy of the donation.
Chris Brown is certainly no stranger to charity efforts. The R&B singer donated $100,000 in 2017 to the victims of Hurricane Harvey after Kevin Hart issued a challenge to celebrities to do more than send thoughts and prayers.
“I accept your challenge,” Chris said in response to Kevin Hart’s call. “We need to come together,” he added. “This is for everybody out there in Texas, for the relief and everything. I accept the challenge and I implore and encourage everybody else, who can change and make a change for this, to please donate and help out. Love you all.”
Chris Brown was the first recording artist to donate such a large amount to Hurricane Harvey victims. The R&B singer surpassed Kevin Hart’s initial call for $25,000 donations four times over.
What good deed will Chris Brown and his daughter, Royalty, do next? We’ll have to keep watching the celebrity father and his “mini-me” to find out!
