Congrats to Nipsey Hussle’s daughter Emani Asghedon on graduating the 5th grade!
Nipsey’s sister, Samantha Smith, shared a photo of herself and the graduate on Saturday, writing, “Baby girl growing up.”
In the photo, Emani is wearing graduate regalia as she poses with her aunt, and her brother Kross. Nipsey’s mother Angelique Smith can be seen in the far background.
The class of 2019 graduate is the eldest child of the late rapper, who was murdered in late March of this year. Since her father’s untimely death, Emani has been living with her aunt Samantha.

In April, Samantha filed a petition to become the legal guardian of Emani amid a custody battle with Emani’s mother, Tanisha Foster. Just last month, Smith was granted continuous custody of her niece. Another court hearing is set to take place in July and will focus on Emani’s guardianship between her aunt and mother.
