Amber Rose is pregnant and under fire. The celebrity mom came under harsh criticism after promoting a new detox tea line by Flat Tummy Company that is allegedly safe for expectant women.

Rose took to Instagram to share the news about the new product in a paid post. “Food baby or real baby @flattummyco knows bloat’s a total B—H,” the pregnant celebrity wrote. “They’ve just launched an Organic Pregnancy Tea to help us moms with those bloated, nauseous, blah feeling days! It’s safe to take while pregnant and breastfeeding. Check out flattummyco.com for their full line up now!” It did not take long for critics to scrutinize Amber for promoting such a product while expecting.
“Imagine drinking something called flat tummy when you’re pregnant,” one Instagram user wrote. Another said, “I truly hope you researched this product (as well as the other ‘detox’ teas celebs promote). What you promote truly influences people. I would hate for a pregnant woman to buy this product and be hurt so you could get an easy check.”

For the record, Flat Tummy Company is a business that claims to pride itself on transparency. According to the brand’s website, “What you see is what you get and we’re always going to tell you how it is. We’re all about real women getting real results.” Some, however, question the motives of the business seeing as how Flat Tummy often seeks the help of athletic celebrity women to promote their products on Instagram. There is also the question of ingredients. Some critics believe that Flat Tummy uses toxins to produce flattering results.

It is evident that many online do not think that Flat Tummy Company products are right for pregnancy. Amber Rose is expecting her and boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards son to arrive in the coming months.
