STEVIE WONDER’S SON, KAILAND MORRIS, ATTEND ‘EUPHORIA’ PREMIERE WITH MOM KAI MILLA

Yes!

Kailand Morris, son of music legend Stevie Wonder, attended the premiere of HBO’s Euphoria on Monday (June 4) with his mom, Kai Milla. The screening was held at the Cinerama Dome in Los Angeles, California, and Kailand was ready for the red carpet.

The Dancing With The Stars Junior competitor took several pictures with fellow celebrities who also came out to show support for HBO’s upcoming show. Zendaya was one of several to strike a few poses with both Kailand and his mom.

Stevie Wonder’s son is finding his way in show business. The teen was viewed as a viable contender in ABC’s Dancing With The Stars Junior competition. Kailand and his partner Brightyn Brems received loads of support last October when one of their dance routines received a score of 22 out of a possible 30 points. Many blamed the young stars’ mentor, Cheryl, for the low score. Kailand, however, viewed the experience as an opportunity to improve his craft.

“I feel like it’s always good to get feedback,” Kailand said during an interview with Access. “[It’s good] to get a low score from the judges because then it gives you something to work on.”

Kailand is also working on his talent as a designer. “When I was younger, my little brother and I would always go to all my mom’s shows (she’s a designer) at New York Fashion Week,” the rising star shared in an interview with COOLS. “I never thought anything of it since I was young, but it’s funny: She tells this story all the time of me sneaking backstage to see all the models. I don’t know why I did that, but I did.”

Much of Kailand’s style has remnants of his mom’s taste. “I feel like my mom shaped my style, because growing up, she would always help me pick and choose what I wore,” the young star shared. “Then, as I got older, I found what I want to wear myself.”

Kailand Morris does not use his father’s name to rise in the ranks of show business. He, instead, prefers to put in the hard work to make a name for himself.

“My dad, being who he is, people are always asking, ‘Oh, are you going to do music,'” Kailand said during his interview with COOLS. “I wanted to take a different look at things and take a different path. I’m glad it worked out because I love fashion; it’s something I enjoy, but [my dad] was super surprised that I chose [it]. He would support me in any way, shape, or form, and my mom; of course, she was already in the business.”

Kailand Morris is one of nine children that Stevie Wonder fathers. Stay tuned for more young stars news!
