Jessie and D’Lila Combs graduated from the sixth grade earlier this week and their father, Sean “Diddy” Combs, was present with the twins’ other siblings. Jessie and D’Lila’s brothers and sisters surrounded them with love and joy as the girls celebrated their latest milestone.
“Congratulations to my sista’s (sic) on their 6th-grade graduation,” Chance Combs wrote online. Jessie and D’Lila’s younger sister also shared pictures from the event on her Instagram page. “Congratulations @the_combs_twins,” Diddy wrote online. “We are all so proud of you,” the celebrity father exclaimed.
Jessie and D’Lila have been through much these past few months. The twins paid their final respects to their mother, Kim Porter, who passed away suddenly last November. Diddy has since taken on the reigns as a single father to Jessie and D’Lila with the help of his adult sons who occasionally pick the girls up from school.
Diddy reflected on the late Kim Porter during a recent interview with ESSENCE. “She was unforgettable,” the celebrity father said. “That day turned my world upside down,” Combs added. “Three days before she passed, she wasn’t feeling well. She had the flu, and she sent the kids over to my house so they wouldn’t get sick. One night I was checking on her, and she was like, ‘Puffy, take care of my babies.’ She actually said that to me before she died.”
