CIARA TELLS ‘RED TABLE TALK’ SHE WAS THINKING OF HER SON WHEN SHE ENDED HER ENGAGEMENT TO FUTURE

"I Realized I Have To Start Making Different Decisions"

Ciara did not hold back during her recent talk with Jada Pinkett-Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Jones on Red Table Talk. The ‘Beauty Marks’ singer shares everything from her life as a mom and wife to how she and her husband, Russell Wilson, maintain harmony in their blended family.

“I would be in the shower, and I would be crying because I’m not in the happiest place and it hurts, what I’m going through,” Ciara says of her thought process before ending her engagement with producer Future, a.k.a. Nayvadius Cash. Ciara broke up with Future in August 2014, which was just three months after the former couple welcomed their son.

“When I was thinking about my son, Future, I realized I have to start making different decisions. Period,” Ciara says of ending her engagement with Nayvadius Cash. Ciara went on to meet her husband in 2015. The couple wed in 2016.

“It has been a very special journey with my husband and I because we are a blended family,” Ciara shared with the ladies of Red Table Talk. “It does take time,” the celebrity mom admits.

“I don’t think that people really think about the child when they like to make chatter about the kids,” Ciara further explains. “Everyone likes to weigh in on opinions. Adults, we’ll be fine. The child is a person who has to read stuff. They have to see stuff. As far as the real life part of it, versus the celebrity part, I think the biggest thing is always trying our best just, like, love life as much as we can as normal as possible.”

Normalcy for Ciara includes two kids. The ‘Level Up’ singer and her husband welcomed their daughter, Sienna, in 2017/

“That was no joke,” Ciara says of her labor and delivery experience when giving birth to Sienna. “When I pushed out Future, he was nine pounds, [and] ten ounces. She was not as big as Future, but I stalled at six centimeters. So it worked out, obviously, but she beat me up. And I was like, ‘There must be something about this, too. She’s got fire in the belly.'”

Ciara released her latest studio album, called Beauty Marks a few weeks back. Check out her full interview on Red Table Talk below!
