Ciara, Russell Wilson and their kids, Sienna Wilson and Future Zahir Wilburn, are living their best lives in Mexico.
This past weekend, the Wilsons took to their respective Instagram pages to share photos from their trip. In a couple of photos, Ciara can be seen posing with her son and daughter in separate shots.
Ciara and Russell were married in July 2016. They welcomed Sienna in April 2017. Future, from Ciara’s relationship with rapper Future, turned 5 in May.
During a recent sit-down with Buzzfeed, Russell shared his advice to parents of blended families, saying, “In terms of tips, I mean, you know being there for your kids, you know, tucking them down, putting them to bed, going to as many things as you can.”
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback added, “And I think ultimately—you know the thing that I’ve learned the most and I think this is real, the thing that I’ve learned the most is that being a stepdad and then also having our little daughter as well, being a stepdad, you really find out what love’s like. It’s interesting. It’s easy to love somebody that’s blood and everything else, but when you can love somebody just like it’s your own child and everything else, that’s what real love is like.”
Speaking of love, Ciara credits her and her NFL player husband’s love of God as being the foundation of their marriage.
“It is a blessing that we both share the same vision and we really do believe that you gotta have God at the foundation,” she says of their relationship and their approach to parenting. “We both know that if it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t be in the positions that we’re in, we wouldn’t have the blessings that we have. And so it all comes back to that. And ultimately understanding that legacy is important to us. What legacy are we leaving behind for our kids? We also hope that they’ll do better than we do.”
