Dwyane Wade is thankful for his wife, Gabrielle Union, and for all that she does as a mother. The former NBA player took to Instagram to celebrate the actress on Mother’s Day and to especially thank Gabrielle for her forgiving heart.
“I put you in an impossible situation and somehow you helped me come out of it stronger,” Wade wrote online. “I wanna say Happy Mothers Day to my [best] friend,” he exclaimed. “Thank you for the Mom that you already are to our miracle, Kaavia. Thank you for stepping in and raising those boys just like they were your own. Thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for the daily photo shoots. Thank you for FUN. Thank you for. Adventure. Thank you for keeping it sexy. Thank you for pushing me to be a better businessman. Thank you for helping me become a better son.”
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union’s relationship was rocked by turbulence a few years back. The end result was the celebrity father having a son named, Xavier, who was conceived during Dwyane and Gabrielle’s temporary breakup period.
“I had a time, a part in our break, in our pain and our hurt,” Dwyane said of his relations apart from Gabrielle. “A blessing came out of it in my life, having a son that was born healthy,” the star dad added. “So I’m moving on.” Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade later reconciled, married, and are now the proud parents of a baby girl named Kaavia James Union Wade.
“I’ve cried so many times today for so many reasons,” Gabrielle shared online this past Mother’s Day. “I’d gotten accustomed to heartbreak and disappointment,” she revealed. “I think a lot of us live in that space. I set up shop there.”
Gabrielle uploaded a picture of the moment that she and Dwyane saw baby Kaavia for the first time. “This moment reminded me that miracles do happen,” she said of the picture. “You can’t age out of joy,” Union added. “You are worthy.”
Kaavia James Union Wade is Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s only child together. Dwyane Wade has four kids in all.
