Merlette posted the Sun Valley Elementary School mix and it has almost gone just as viral as the original, and of course, garnering attention from the original singers themselves.

“I’m gonna ace my test, I’m gonna raise my score, I’m gonna solve ’til I can’t no more,” the Sun Valley Elementary School kids chant in their version of the song.

HuffPost caught up with Ms. Merlette to follow-up on her thoughts behind their viral status. And this is what the overjoyed young teacher had to say to the news outlet in an email, “It’s a call to action to empower not just yourself but those around you as well, especially our youth because they need us. The goal of our song was to encourage my kids to remain confident and motivated while taking the state exams. Music is a fun and easy way to remind them that they possess the tools for success.”

Teachers continue to find more and more creative ways to not only entertain their students but encourage and make learning fun. To quote Billy Ray Cyrus, “This is what it’s all about!!!”
