Dwyane Wade had the support of his wife Gabrielle Union, nephew Dahveon Morris, and kids Kaavia James Union Wade, Zaire Wade, Xavier Wade and Zion Wade at his final career home game at American Airlines Arena on April 09, 2019 in Miami, Florida.
Emotions were high for all of the right reasons on Tuesday night as Dwyane Wade played his final game of the regular season, and probably his career, at the American Airlines Arena. Former President Barack Obama was one of many notable individuals to show support to the NBA champion.
Obama sent his well wishes to Wade via a video. Meanwhile, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend attended Dwyane’s final game at the American Airlines Arena on Tuesday night. The celebrity couple got front-row seats to all of the action including that of Dwyane crashing into them during the game. Gabrielle Union was the supportive wife who was proud of her husband’s incredible stamina during the meet. Zaire Wade, Dwyane’s oldest son, introduced his father before the game began, which led to Dwyane trying to hold back a floodgate of emotions.
“Y’all not about to make me cry before this game,” Wade said during his speech. “I’m thankful for this entire season,” The Miami Heat player continued. “I appreciate my teammates and coaching staff,” the celebrity father added before having to pause for an emotional check. “I thank you guys for dancing with me this year. I thank you guys for your patience this year.”

“It’s like everything I’ve done has led up to this moment,” Wade said after Tuesday night’s game. “It’s like, all a body of work, all the injuries, all the surgeries, all the tough times. It led up to this moment. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to my last game in this arena, to my last season.”
Dwyane Wade began his career as a basketball player at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, back in 2001. The athlete was drafted by the Miami Heat during the 2003-04 NBA season and went on to win several championships for the team. Tuesday was no different as the NBA star and team beat the Philadelphia 76ers by more than 20 points in a final score of 122-99.
