Rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot dead outside of his Los Angeles store on Sunday (March 31). The 33-year-old rapper, who leaves behind two kids, was one of three shot outside of the retail spot, called Marathon Clothing, on Slauson Avenue.
According to NBC News,
“The Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle was killed in a shooting outside his clothing store in Los Angeles, multiple law enforcement sources said. Two other men were in serious condition, and a suspect remained at large.”
It was previously reported that Nipsey Hussle was shot as many as six times outside of his clothing store. The report was later updated that Hussle was the individual who died at the hospital while the other two victims remained in serious condition.
Nipsey Hussle fathered a son named Kross with actress Lauren London. The rapper also fathered a daughter named Emani from a previous relationship. It was just a few weeks ago that Hussle shared his plans for his career as an artist after the success of his debut album Victory Lap.
“I was finishing something with Victory Lap,” he said. “The next project is going to be more of a chapter one to something new,” Nipsey explained. “I was aware of what was going to happen to my business life as I was making Victory Lap. This moment now is what came after it. That’s what the moment represents, a new chapter.”
