From gaining attention as a toddler while singing Michael Jackson’s “Bad” to blowing away Steve Harvey with his golden voice on NBC’s Little Big Shots to starring in the upcoming remake of Disney’s The Lion King, JD McCrary has been on the rise ever since he stepped on the scene.

The soon-to-be 12-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon as he has just become the youngest person in history to sign a recording contract with Disney’s Hollywood label.

McCrary’s first single, “Keep in Touch,” debuted in January. McCrary told Variety Magazine that the song is about, “staying in touch with your family, your friends and your loved ones. You can do that with any device. You can do that all over the world and all it really takes is a call.”

The talented middle-schooler has another single in the works and is working on additional future projects to release. So, who is on the young stars collab-wish list? Well, of course the queen herself and Logic. “I would love to collaborate with Beyonce,” he told the magazine. “Just putting that into the universe. And Logic. I would love to sing with those two.”
