Kenya Moore decided to introduce the Peanut app by sharing a story in which she was mommy shamed for changing her baby’s diaper. Things didn’t go over so well online.
Kenya began her recent Instagram post by telling her followers that she and Brooklyn were dining in a restaurant when the little one’s diaper needed to be changed. Moore decided to change her daughter’s diaper in the dining room, which did not sit well with the manager at the restaurant.
“I got kicked out of a restaurant for changing her diaper,” Kenya exclaimed. “I was so embarrassed,” the celebrity mom continued. “I had no idea about these rules!” Kenya went on to introduce the Peanut app, which “introduces you to women in your neighborhood based on the things you have in common—interests, mutual friends, age/gender of your children, and so much more.”
Kenya found a community of support via the app after being shamed for changing her daughter’s diaper in a restaurant. Some of the celebrity mom’s Instagram followers, however, could not fathom the notion of Moore changing baby Brooklyn’s diaper in the same place where people eat.
“Maybe, you should’ve kept this info to yourself and just learned the lesson,” one of Kenya’s online followers said. “Don’t embarrass Brooklyn. Wrong way to introduce the peanut app.”
Another Instagram fan wrote, “Now Kenya you are a smart lady. You know where people eat, you don’t change a baby’s diaper. That’s what the bathroom is for. You would be offended also. Common sense doesn’t disappear when you have a baby. She is gorgeous though and I know you are truly blessed.”
BCK Asks: Do you think that Kenya Moore was wrongfully kicked out of the restaurant? Would you change your child’s diaper in a restaurant?
