Darius McCrary and his ex-wife, Tammy Brawner, have finally settled their divorce and come to a conclusion regarding the custody of their daughter, Zoey McCrary. Tammy will retain full custody of the toddler according to TMZ.
The media source reports,
“Darius McCrary’s real-life “Family Matters” are finally settled — after a nearly 2-year long divorce battle he and his ex-wife have reached an agreement … TMZ has learned.
Tammy Brawner, a former Harlem Globetrotter, and Darius filed final divorce docs Monday in L.A. — and in their most contentious issue … custody of 3-year-old Zoey … Tammy’s come out on top. According to docs, obtained by TMZ, she gets legal and physical custody of Zoey, and Darius will have weekly visits with her.”
Darius McCrary was accused of child abuse last year. Tammy Brawner reportedly furnished medical documents as proof of her ex-husband abusing their daughter. Zoey also allegedly told her mom that “dada” hurt her.
It seems that the courts are taking allegations of abuse as well as other reports of substance abuse seriously. Darius McCrary is not allowed to have unsupervised visits with his daughter for the first 20 visits. There is the possibility for unsupervised visits after Darius completes alcohol/drug abuse and batterers intervention classes. The celebrity father must also enroll in co-parenting classes, and neither Darius nor Tammy can speak to one another in a vulgar manner while around little Zoey.
