It seems that Khloe Kardashian cannot keep herself out of the hot seat. Khloe was slammed for asking about where to find a biracial doll for her daughter, True Thompson, hours after online fans accused the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star of having photoshopped her feet in the family’s Christmas card photo series.
Khloe took to Twitter to solicit the help of her fans. “Anyone know what brand makes a sweet looking biracial baby doll,” the star asked. “Nothing too lifelike,” Khloe requested. “Those silicone babies really freak me out! Some look so real and some look [terrible].”

Khloe’s request was made in all innocence. The celebrity mom’s inquiry, however, was met with a bit of hostility. “How [is] a doll biracial,” one of her followers asked. Another of Khloe’s fans tweeted, “Girl, just get a Black baby doll from the store and move on.”
Some could not get beyond the notion of Khloe Kardashian being concerned about giving True a doll that looked like her. Black women have, after all, stressed the importance of diversity in toys for decades to the eye roll of many. “Black mothers have been looking and requesting for decades,” one of Khloe’s followers said. “Now that you’re the mother of a girl of color, this is the beginning of the many issues you will encounter.”

Even with a bit of backlash, Khloe Kardashian got a few pointers on possible fits regarding toy makers. Our Generation, as well as Denelle and Kaylee, were popular brands. There was also mention of American Girl, which lets buyers design dolls to their liking. Pottery Barn Kids also offers a nice bit of diversity in their doll lineup. The Gotz Baby Doll comes in three shades.
