Could Kennedy Holmes be the winner of Season 15 of NBC’s The Voice? Perhaps, yes! More than 70 percent of the show’s fans believe that the 14-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, has a good chance of winning it all. Keep reading to understand why the momentum behind Kennedy is so strong!
For those who have not been watching, Kennedy Holmes is the teen who started a battle between the judges after belting out the lyrics to Adele’s hit song, ‘Turning Tables.’ All four of the judges – Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine – were vying for the up-and-coming star. Kennedy, however, chose Jennifer in the end.
Holmes has delivered smash-hit performances on a consistent basis, with her finale delivery being a sort of climax in her journey on the show. Kennedy re-imagined Beyonce’s performance at Coachella 2018, which garnered the praises of the masses and judges. Jennifer Hudson even told the teen that she thought Beyonce was performing. Talk about channeling energy and delivering!
Kennedy Holmes is certainly no stranger to the main stage. The teen is quite the sensation in her hometown and often listens to other artists to further develop her style.
“Everything I listen to really helps me figure out my own sound because as I get older and try to create music, I want to be unique,” the rising star said during a recent interview with Country Living. “I want to bring something different to the world—something to make the world better and more positive,” she added.
In making the world a better place, Kennedy wouldn’t mind winning Season 15 of The Voice. “I would feel amazing [if I won],” the teen shared. “I would be extremely blessed,” Kennedy continued. “I would love to feel that feeling that I’ve made my city, St. Louis, proud, and that I’ve made my family proud. Me and my family have been working at something like this for an extremely long time.”
