Kenya Moore is living in the clouds. The celebrity mom shares the first pictures of her and husband Marc Daly’s daughter, Brooklyn Daly, and tells PEOPLE exclusively why she has so much joy in her heart.
“I finally have everything I’ve dreamed of,” Kenya reveals. “She’s so perfect in so many ways,” the celebrity mom says of her newborn daughter.
Kenya Moore and Marc Daly welcomed their little one on November 4, 2018. Brooklyn was born by cesarean section after Kenya experienced high blood pressure due to preeclampsia that threatened the welfare of her child. Moore later revealed that she was unable to walk due to the C-section and overall pregnancy complications.
“It was all happening so fast,” Kenya tells PEOPLE of her emergency C-section. “I started crying because I got so scared. I couldn’t get a hold of Marc, I didn’t know what was going to happen. I just remember feeling overwhelmed with emotion. It was really tough.”
Kenya Moore’s labor and delivery experience was further challenged by fibroids. Surgeons had to cut the star mom vertically and horizontally to reach baby Brooklyn.
“There were all these complications and they knew if they cut into a fibroid, I could potentially bleed out and die,” Moore explains. “They ended up cutting me vertically too, to just get the baby out and make sure I survived the surgery. They were so scared they were going to lose me.”
The medical staff did not lose Kenya or baby Brooklyn, and now the Daly family is a party of three. “We’re so in love,” Kenya says of her and Marc’s affection towards each other and their daughter. “Everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. But she’s such a tough baby; so determined. And every step of the way, she kept surviving and getting stronger. She’s my miracle baby. There’s no other way to describe it, she’s my miracle baby.”
