Wow! We can always count on Eva Marcille to shoot straight from the hip. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently stopped by The Wendy Williams Show to have a conversation with the show’s host, and Eva let loose about her daughter’s father, Kevin McCall.
“What’s amazing is that [Kevin McCall] thinks biology is more important than being present,” Eva shared. “Marley knows her dad. He picks her up from school. He gives her life lessons. [Michael Sterling is] her dad,” she continued.”
Some critics scrutinized Eva Marcille for referencing her husband and Marley McCall’s stepfather, Michael Sterling, as the little one’s father a few months back. The RHOA star, however, doubled down on what she said and further explained why she does not involve Kevin McCall in Marley’s affairs.
“It’s really hard with a lot of people’s opinions and on social media and Instagram,” Eva admitted. “They’re like, ‘That’s her dad. She should see him.’ I’m like, ‘He’s extremely dysfunctional, and he is not at a place where it’s safe for himself or others. Why would I do that?'”
Furthermore, ” I’m open to Marley having the best of what she needs. If [Kevin is] at a place where he is happy and good, and life is good for him … He doesn’t go all the way to the top floor. We kind of stop at a certain point. To be a parent, you need to be responsible.”
So what could Kevin McCall do, according to Eva Marcille, if he wanted to be a part of his daughter’s life? “He should have to go to the court and talk mediation.”
Marley McCall is Kevin McCall and Eva Marcille’s only child together. Kevin has four kids in all. Eva and her husband, Michael Sterling, also have a child together.
