Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that singer Kehlani is pregnant and that her baby’s father is boyfriend Javie Young White. The celebrity mom recently took to her Instagram page to share her plans to give birth using a midwife.

“I was very blessed to find true friendship/family in this alluring Scorpio sister sign of mine with a very similar life story when I was maybe 12 years old,” Kehlani said of her midwife. “We didn’t connect as a family when I was that young but I always admired her very euphoric energy when she stepped into any room and the power even just her face held, almost too overwhelming to stare at for long because she just OOZES light and power.”

Kehlani further doted on her selected midwife by saying, “Since the moment I was exposed to natural birth (by her) years ago, I knew she would be the one to take this step with when the time came. I trust her with my life, and most importantly the life of my child. I haven’t had a moment of worry or fear, and I don’t plan to. she is so patient, kind, and her undeniable ability to nurture all involved in birth is truly one of a kind. thank you so much for all that you are to me, to the community of people you’ve aided through birth and beyond, and simply for the way you show up in this world and hold space for yourself while holding space for us all.”

Kehlani announced her and Javie Young White’s expectancy several weeks ago. The singer did not disclose the father of her child at the time.

“I’ve always been very open with you all about my personal adventures and accomplishments,” Kehlani told her fans. “This was the HARDEST to hide,” she continued. “I am happy to document this journey and feel the freedom any pregnant person should. I’m looking forward to sharing my little world with you all,” she concluded.
