Kenya Moore and Marc Daly may welcome their little one sooner than expected. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently took to Instagram to share her struggles with preeclampsia, which may lead to induced labor.
“I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party,” Kenya told her social media fans. “Next day, my tests came back for possible preeclampsia … I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in [my] urine. This is NOT normal.”
Although Kenya’s condition has not reached the point of being a danger to baby Daly, Moore told her fans that she is still under close monitoring. “I took more tests,” Moore explained. “[The] baby is fine but if they come back higher #babydaly will have to come [the] same day.”
It is not uncommon for pregnancies to encounter preeclampsia. Many expectant women may experience swelling due to water retention and high blood pressure caused by the condition. Severe headaches, nausea, and abdominal pain during pregnancy may also be signs of preeclampsia.
Kenya Moore expressed gratitude for her amazing team of doctors but also advised women journeying the path of pregnancy like herself to keep up with all of their doctor’s visits. “To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes,” Kenya admonished.
Baby Daly is expected to arrive in coming weeks. Stay tuned for more Marc Daly and Kenya Moore pregnancy news!
