Jasmine Guy and her 19-year-old daughter, Imani Duckett, were two of many guests at the Peggy Albrecht Friendly House’s 29th Annual Awards Luncheon this past weekend. The event was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Saturday (October 27), and Jasmine and her daughter looked great on the red carpet.
The celebrity mom and her big kid struck several poses while in the spotlight. Both Jasmine and Imani took the elegant yet simple approach to dressing up for the event. Imani wore a cute floral dress, while Jasmine wore a black top with a silver skirt.
We last heard from Jasmine Guy in 2014 when the celebrity mom delved into the excitement and challenges of rearing a teen daughter. Imani was 15-years-old at the time.
“I started to pray, ‘God, please just don’t let me get in the way of who she is supposed to be,'” Guy explained. “But it’s harder now that she’s older,” the actress admitted. “The childhood was one thing. You have certain things that you have to look out for. Actually having another woman mind to talk to and relate to — and try to get to clean the bathroom — is a little tricky.”
