Guess who’s getting a holiday special? John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, that’s who! The celebrity couple is coming to NBC.
The network confirmed John and Chrissy’s upcoming show, called A Legendary Christmas with John and Chrissy, on Wednesday (October 24). “What John has accomplished over his career is simply remarkable and we’re thrilled to have both he and Chrissy host our holiday special,” Doug Vaughan, executive vice president of special programs at NBC Entertainment, told the press. “It will be a truly memorable telecast filled with wonderful performances that will have something for everyone,” he added.
John and Chrissy’s holiday special coincides with Legend’s upcoming album called, A Legendary Christmas, which will be available for music lovers on December 26, 2018. John announced the impending release of his holiday album earlier this month along with tour dates to promote his new record. This album will be the first Christmas project that John Legend makes available to his fans.
Big things definitely appear to be on the horizon for the award-winning recording artist. It was just a few days ago that John Legend was revealed as GQ magazine’s Man of the Year 2018.
“I try to consider that clothes reflect the person I am as an artist,” John said during his cover interview for the men’s fashion magazine. “I don’t want my style to scream ‘entertainer,'” Legend explained. “Fashion can be a really powerful visual shorthand. To be fair, any man that grew up as a teenager in the Eighties will have learned this the hard way. I look back at the bagginess of my jeans sometimes and wonder, ‘What was I thinking?'”
