Matt Barnes and Anansa Sims are living their best life. The celebrity couple commemorated the impending birth of their son with a baby shower this past weekend.
The bash was all about the Bruins of the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). Matt and Anansa had everything from cookies shaped like shoes with the Bruins’ colors on them to a cake designed in the form of a jersey. Of course, instead of outright bolstering the Bruins, Anansa and Matt celebrated the last name of their unborn child by replacing “Bruins” with “Barnes.”
“Saturday was magical,” Anansa said of this past weekend’s celebration. “I’m so grateful for all of our family, friends and loved ones who came out to celebrate with us. We are blessed beyond measure.”
Beverly Johnson, Anansa’s mother, also commemorated the impending birth of her grandson with a sweet post that celebrated her family’s expansion. “The miracles of life,” Beverly exclaimed online. “I’m so proud of the Woman and Mother my daughter has become,” the legendary model said. “I feel blessed that an intelligent and solid Man has come into Anansa’s life. May God keep his arms around the three of them and all those they Love.”
Rumors of Anansa Sims and Matt Barnes expecting a child together began to spread a few weeks ago. The model and her boyfriend later confirmed their relationship and expectancy.
