Tyrese and his wife Samantha Lee Gibson have shared photos of their newborn daughter Soraya Lee Gibson.
“Dear Loved ones,” Tyrese began in a caption note underneath a video collage of his daughter posted on Instagram. “We hesitated to post our angel, and after embracing her love and joy for the last 2 weeks we decided to share our answered prayer. We’re convinced that ‘God must have spent a little more time on her,'” the celebrity father concluded. “So proud!”
Soraya Lee Gibson was born on October 1, 2018. The little arrived around 48 hours after Tyrese and Samantha enjoyed one final date night during the last stretch of her expectancy.
“Father God we love you for delivering on your promise. Princess Soraya Lee Gibson is here,” Tyrese wrote online shortly after his daughter’s birth. “8 pounds 6 Oz,” the celebrity father said of his daughter’s weight at birth. “Our lives just changed forever……. #PrincessGibson #ShaylasLittleSister #SamanthaGibsonGreatestMotherOfAllTime my wife is the real champion 30 hours of labor I witnessed first hand the strength of a woman….. Thank you, Jesus, we are so humbled by your grace and love and favor.”
Soraya joins her big sister, Shayla Gibson, at home. Samantha spoke with PEOPLE about the changes that pregnancy brings about prior to giving birth to her daughter.
“Pregnancy is a process,” Mrs. Gibson said of her semi-bare maternity photo shoot orchestrated by her husband. “Your body is changing, and to be able to accept that change publicly and really just put it out there like that confidently — I tried to trick myself into thinking I was doing something for women all over the world.”
