"For Me, It's Quite Simple ... My Kids Come First"

After the success of her first two books ‘The Adventures of Maddie’ & ‘Bigger Than Me’, author & TV personality Monyetta Shaw returns to the literary world with her highly anticipated third effort ‘Keep It Classy.’ The ultimate how-to-guide for unstoppable moms and devoted dads, Monyetta shares first-hand encounters and strategies she’s learned through co-parenting with Ne-Yo.

“For me, it’s quite simple,” Monyetta says. “My kids come first and it’s extremely vital for me to set a positive example.”

Setting a positive example includes getting along with all members of the family. Such is the reason why Monyetta Shaw goes to great lengths to keep harmony with Ne-Yo and his wife, Crystal Smith. In fact, it was just a few months ago that Monyetta and Crystal worked together to give Madison and Mason a beautiful birthday party.

“We live in a world that unfortunately thrives off of drama and negativity,” Monyetta said of her collaboration with Crystal. “But I refuse to give into that,” Shaw continued. “We are setting the foundation for our children by our actions and reactions.”

Monyetta Shaw also hopes to set a more positive standard regarding co-parenting with her new book. Such is the reason why she sought the father of her child to write the foreword.

“The purpose of this book is far more important than just being an artist or an author. What’s most important is protecting the hearts and minds of innocent children, ours, and yours,” Ne-Yo says of Keep It Classy. “This book is about preventing kids from being on the receiving end of issues and circumstances that we grownups create for ourselves. It’s about a state of mind, helping parents remove the harmful attitudes and behavior that threaten them and their children’s wellbeing.”

You can get your copy of Keep It Classy on Amazon or in select Barnes & Nobles retail stores on Friday, September 28, 2018. Get more details about the book on Monyetta Shaw’s website.
