There’s nothing like a good family trip. Swizz Beatz, Alicia Keys, Mashonda Tifrere, and the Dean kids are enjoying one last summer trip to Egypt . So far, the blended family has explored the region via camels.
“We must learn more about our own culture,” Swizz exclaimed in one Instagram post. “It’s sad they never tell us the truth about it,” the celebrity father said. Swizz went on to tell his fans, “We must embrace our own everywhere as much as possible.”
Embracing one’s own culture, in many ways, begins with family values and overall harmony at home. Swizz Beatz has successfully found a balance, thanks to his efforts and that of the mothers of his children.
Mashonda Tifrere recently shared tips on co-parenting and blended families during an interview with PEOPLE. “Six years ago, my [then] 5-year-old son asked me why his father and I didn’t like each other anymore,” Mashonda shared with media. “I realized that he was reacting to our lack of communication and unity as parents,” she explained. “It was a wake-up call,” Mashonda noted.
