Sarunas Jackson is here to clear the air about his relationship with Dominique Perry. The Insecure star tells Madame Noire about his life as a father who is anything but a deadbeat.

“When that came out, there were all these people attacking my character,” Sarunas explains. “Someone thought me and Dominique were living with each other, and [had] a whole relationship, and I had a whole side girl. They were just making all this stuff up.”

Jackson further reveals, “People were thinking, ‘Oh, he’s a deadbeat.’ And I’m like, ‘Yo, she’s not even here yet.’ They’re like, ‘He’s not even around for his baby.’ I’m like, ‘She’s not even around.'”

Sarunas Jackson, of course, was present for the birth of his and Dominique Perry’s daughter. “It was one of the scariest moments in my life,” the actor shares. “Zenny wasn’t taking the contraction good. Some babies can take them better than others. It was like going underwater for her every time she had contractions. The contractions were coming like less than a minute, [and] so it was stressing Zenny out, and her heart rate was dropping like a lot. I just noticed that the beeping [would] stop, and I was like, ‘Okay, what’s wrong with the machine.'”

It was soon revealed that Dominique would need an emergency cesarean section to save the life of her child. The moments leading up to the operation were quite chaotic. The nurses along with Dominique’s mom urged the Insecure actress to undergo the procedure without delay. Perry, however, was not happy about having a C-section since natural birth was the goal.

“I was like, ‘With all this craziness, I want some Zen in my life. We can name her Zen. Okay? We can name her Zen,'” Sarunas told his expectant partner. “She was like, ‘Really?'” Way to calm things down, dude!
