The Bruno Mars tour is a no for Cardi B. The rapper dropped out of the lineup in hopes of spending a little more time with her daughter, Kulture, before returning to work.

“As of today, I’ve decided I won’t be joining Bruno on tour this Fall,” Cardi shared with her social media fans earlier this week. “I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically,” she explained. “I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing.”
It was just a few weeks ago that Cardi B told media that she was planning to take her child on the road. The rapper was in her final trimester of pregnancy at the time.
“What I envision is my tour bus has my own personal room, and I just want to be with my baby,” Cardi told Rolling Stone. “Only time I don’t have my baby with me is when I’m getting my hair done, makeup done, [and] performing. I don’t want to miss one second. I don’t want to miss no smiles, I don’t want to miss no new movement, I don’t want the baby to confuse me and the babysitter.”

Cardi appears adamant about her child knowing her more than the babysitter. Such is part of the reason why she hasn’t hired a nanny just yet. Another reason for Cardi’s delayed return to work revolves around health. “Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road,” Cardi shared with her fans. “I have to do what’s best for myself and my baby,” the celebrity concluded.
Kulture is Cardi B and husband Offset’s first child. Stay tuned for more celebrity baby updates!
