The rumors are true. Drake is the father of a son. The recording artist confirmed his fathering a child on his latest album, Scorpion.

Drake boldly affirms his role as a parent on the track, “Emotionless.” The artist says, “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world/I was hiding the world from my kid.”

It was just a few weeks ago that rumors of Drake having a son began taking root. Some accused the Canadian rapper of trying to hide his fathering a child and even went so far as to call Drake a deadbeat. Even rapper Pusha T took shots at Drake on his track, “The Story of Adidon,” which served as a sort of calling out of Drake’s transgressions regarding his kid.

“A baby’s involved, it’s deeper than rap,” Pusha rhymed. “We talkin’ character, let me keep with the facts,” Pusha said in his song. “You are hiding a child, let that boy come home/ Deadbeat motha^$%, playin’ border patrol.” Of course, evidence furnished that Drake was financially supportive. Still, even though the masses put pieces of the puzzle together concerning the matter, Drake never confirmed his status as a dad until now.
