Kimora Lee Simmons and the kids are broadening their charitable horizons by partnering with The Unmentionables charity. The celebrity mom took to her Instagram page to announce her plans to work with the organization’s latest campaign.
“Hello from Greece,” Kimora began her note. “My family and I are so excited to be in Athens with @theunmentionablesorg,” the celebrity mom said. “Over the next few days, we’ll be meeting with members of the forcibly displaced community, learning more about The Unmentionables’ work in Greece, and getting involved at their Resource Center. Looking forward to sharing our experience with you!”
The Unmentionables is a nonprofit that focuses on health and wellness as it relates to those displaced by unfortunate circumstances. As the organization’s website explains,
“Our team works around the clock to ensure every aspect of our programming has a direct benefit for the communities we serve, and that health, education, protection, livelihood, and empowerment are embedded in everything we do. Learn about our approach, the programs we deliver, where we work, and the impact we’ve had on the ground.”
Kimora Lee Simmons has used her platform to positively impact society ever since becoming the toast of the fashion industry nearly thirty years ago. The celebrity mom shared her passion for spreading the notion of community to her kids during an interview in April.
“It’s important that they don’t get too big-headed about their lives,” Kimora shared. “It’s important to see there are people living outside of your town — where you went on a class trip, on a vacation or maybe somewhere you would like to visit — who are displaced.”
