Chris Brown is joining others in raising his voice about immigration laws that call for the separation of children from their parents at the United States borders. The singer brought out the fact that his daughter, Royalty Brown, is of many races and ethnicities but is yet a human being.
“My daughter is Mexican/Puerto Rican/Black/White/Native. These are our people,” Chris Brown exclaimed. “Why do [we] allow these heartless, inhumane people to run this nation,” he asked. “I only hope the amount of followers I have will focus attention on life and what it means to be human. With all the technological advances we have achieved in the last 20 years, you would honestly think our hearts would grow with our intelligence. I’m really just sick of the wrong people pressing buttons.” Chris later deleted his statement but not before enough people got the gist of what he was saying.
President Trump reversed his initial order to have children separated from their parents at the United States border earlier this week. The executive order to keep immigrant families together came after five former first ladies spoke out against the commander-in-chief’s initial laws, which kept children in tent cities that resembled that of concentration camps while their parents were placed elsewhere.

“You’re going to have a lot of happy people,” Trump said after reversing his initial order of separation. The president also deemed his most recent act as the most significant move regarding immigration that this country has seen in upwards of 50 years.
It was just a few days ago that Attorney General Jeff Sessions used the Christian Bible to justify separating immigrant children from their parents. “I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained them for the purpose of order,” he said. “Orderly and lawful processes are good in themselves and protect the weak and lawful.” Sarah Sanders, White House Press Secretary, affirmed Sessions in his quoting scripture and interpretation of such.

Those who are least tolerable of immigration would do well to study United States history, which shows a country built on the backs of those we now deem as “illegal aliens.” Perhaps, we could all use a dose of compassion and #unstereotype antidote.
In any case, Chris Brown is the proud father of one child. Stay tuned for more celebrity father news!
