Ayden and Dylan had a great Father’s Day with their mom, Phaedra Parks, and a man named Uncle John. The boys were sure to call the family friend to wish him a Happy Father’s Day on Sunday.
Ayden and Dylan were recording while singing the Birthday Song into the phone to their Uncle John. Of course, the youngsters replaced “Birthday” with the phrase, “Father’s Day.” The clip, recorded by Phaedra, cut off before we could hear a response from Uncle John. Phaedra also left a note to all of the dads on Father’s Day.
“#HappyFathersDay to all the wonderful #dads, #grandfathers, #uncles, #brothers, coaches, teachers and #mentors who selflessly give their time to children,” Parks wrote online. “Your efforts do not go unnoticed so check your voicemail you might have a singing telegram waiting for you,” she mused.
Some folks in the comments section pointed out that the boys were wishing someone else other than their father, Apollo Nida, a Happy Father’s Day. “Still the queen of shade honey,” one follower said of Phaedra’s apparent jab at her sons’ dad. Another fan wrote, “I thought they were singing this to their dad.” We thought so too, at first.
Perhaps, Ayden and Dylan were not singing “The Father’s Day Song” to their father because Phaedra does not let them spend much time with him while he’s incarcerated.
According to Radar Online, “Phaedra has not gone to see Apollo in like two years. The kids rarely see Apollo — it is just too hard on them.” An inside source also reveals, “It is 100 percent all about the kids at this point. If the boys have seen their father, it was not with Phaedra.”
Apollo Nida pled guilty to fraud and received an eight-year prison sentence in 2014. He is set to be released from incarceration in 2020.
