On May 21st in Shreveport, LA, 18-year-old Hailey Colborn was crowned Miss Teen USA 2018 by the Miss Universe Organization at George’s Pond Hirsch Coliseum. The Wichita, KS-native, a high school senior, who boasts a 4.0 GPA, will attend Princeton University in the fall. Colborn plans on pursuing a career as a political strategist in hoping to one day run for office. Classically trained in ballet, the phenomenal young winner started SelfPosi, a mentorship program for young women to teach them the importance of self-love.
In addition to receiving a $10,000 scholarship for continued education, Colborn received a new Fiat 500 pop vehicle; a one-year supply of haircare products and tools from CHI Haircare; a formal wardrobe by Sherri Hill; a modeling portfolio; travel opportunities representing The Miss Universe Organization, sponsors, and charitable partners; a personal appearance wardrobe and a professional styling.
In a recent interview with Just Jarred, Colborn stated, “when it was just me and Kirby [Elizabeth Self, Miss South Carolina Teen] standing there, I thought that this cannot be real,” Hailey shared with us in our interview. “When I heard Kansas called…oh my goodness…it felt like a dream. My vision was hazy and then I just felt a crown on my head and it was completely surreal.”
Congratulations, Hailey! We cannot wait to see more of you in the future. To follow Colborn’s journey on Instagram, click here.
