"That 'Mom's The Boss' Thing Is Not Going To Happen In Our Family"

Zoe Saldana is all about gender neutrality. The celebrity mom tells Women’s Health that she is not the boss of her household and proud of it.

“That ‘Mom’s the boss’ thing is not going to happen in our family, because that means he’s the fun one, the good guy, while I’m the disciplinarian,” she explains. “I don’t want my kids to look at women like, ‘Oh, god, they’re so annoying! They always come with structure.'”

Part of the reason why Zoe does not feel the need to assert her authority as a woman in a house filled with boys and a man is because of her husband, Marco Perego. “I have the most perfect partner in my life,” she tells media. “I’ve never met a male like my husband, who [believes] any woman is naturally his equal.”

A great dynamic between husband and wife has a way of rubbing off on the kids. “My boys are a constant source of strength for me,” Zoe says of her life as a mom. “They keep me on my toes, reminding me how much I still have to learn and grow as a person.”

Zoe Saldana is the proud mother of three children. Catch the actress’ full interview with Women’s Health in the magazine’s June 2018 issue!

Im Also a single mother, of Four Sons & One “dad” I do not choose to “co-parent”. I. Understand that it is an unnecessary role for me and for my children. Because of the lack of spiritual healing, the lack of maturity, the dishonesty and disregard of effort and Truth. My sons are Healing and Excelling in life. First by understanding themselves, which im guiding with the Help of God. Coparenting..umm. All i have to say is its a choice. Know thyself & Choose Wisely ? its not for everyone. Truly. Woth Love. In the Real world, this is just an idea. There are a multiple of factors that can allow the necessary room for it to work or not. Celebritiism isnt one of them. It takes a mature team. Honesty, time, prayer to break past generational walls. Although seemingly simple it takes work to put and hold these ideals together. Working on oneself..being a realist is the first step.
