Ayesha Curry does not have big plans for Mother’s Day. The star mom tells Brit + Co that spending the day at home with her family is sufficient.
“I love that I get to somewhat relax [on Mother’s Day],” Mrs. Curry reveals. “The day usually revolves around some sort of meal in bed and handmade cards, and that is truly the way to my heart.”
Ayesha takes time to relish in the joys that come with being a mom. “My favorite thing is watching them grow,” she tells media. “When you become an adult, you wish you could be a kid again, and I get to be one with them every day — for at least a second — when we play or read or go on an adventure.”
The entrepreneurial efforts of Ayesha extend beyond the Food Network and into Target stores throughout the United States. In fact, Mrs. Curry recently expanded her Cheeky Kids brand with a second collection that is more vibrant than ever.
“My kids are in school now and anything that makes lunch easier and more organized makes me a happy mama,” she says of the latest additions. “I love [Cheeky’s] lunch storage container and lunch bags, and the new colors are a hit with the littles,” Ayesha shares.
Of course, charity is a key component of life that Ayesha hopes to pass on to her daughters and everyone else in her path. “I choose to work with [No Kid Hungry] because I believe every child deserves a fair shot at life and a great education,” the celebrity mom says of her latest venture. “The fact that learning and growing with a full stomach can aid in ensuring that happens should be a no-brainer for everyone. Being able to provide in-class meals for all students is a great way to join the fight in ending childhood hunger.”
Ayesha and her husband, Stephen Curry, are the proud parents of two daughters, Riley and Ryan. The couple will welcome their third child in coming months.
