Monroe and Moroccan are ready for their allowances. Mariah Carey tells PEOPLE exclusively that her 7-year-old twins highlight their chores and financial needs.
“The other day Rocky gave me a piece of paper that had ‘My Chores List’ and all the things he had done,” Carey reveals. “Then he was like, ‘You know, we need some money for that!”
Mariah also talks about her favorite thing to do with the kids. “They’re like fish,” the celebrity mom says. “They’re great swimmers. A lot of times, the kids are like ‘Can you make tonight a night off?’ We’ll go night swimming. They love that … and I love the water.”
Carey also loves when her kids take charge and flex their independent muscles. “They’re learning to do things for themselves a little more,” she explains. “They have nannies and people who help them, so of course they can start to think that’s normal, but it’s not. They need to learn how to do things for themselves!”
Of course, it’s not all work and no play in Sin City. “They love [Vegas] and there’s so much fun stuff for them to do there,” Mariah says of her kids’ experience in town. “They’ve actually come out on stage with me a couple times. They like to sing ‘Always Be My Baby.'”
Monroe and Moroccan are Mariah Carey’s kids with Nick Cannon. They celebrated their seventh birthdays on Monday.
