Making a difference in the world does not have a minimum or maximum age, it is all about heart and Halethorpe 6-year-old Tyler Stallings is proving that he definitely has one made of gold. The philanthropic elementary school student was recognized on NBC’s Little Big Shots for his work with the homeless, in particular, homeless veterans.
Tyler, who comes from a military family, full of veterans, saw a YouTube video with a homeless vet holding a sign asking for help. He told his mom, “you told me that veterans have done so much for our country. … Why are they homeless?”
It was after their talk that Tyler sprang into action with creating his “hero packs,” which he distributes to homeless vets that contain hygiene products and other necessities.
