CRYSTAL SMITH SAYS HER SON WASN’T BLESSED WITH ‘HAWAIIAN SILKY’ HAIR, BRAINSTORMS FOR CHILDREN’S HAIR CARE LINE

"Thank You Guys For The Negativity"

Crystal Smith, wife of NeYo, recently took to Instagram to announce her plans to launch a hair care line just for kids. The expectant mom told her fans that it was her son’s kinky hair that gave her the inspiration.

“So my son wasn’t blessed with Mommy’s ‘Hawaiian silky’ [hairs] as my sister likes to say,” Crystal wrote online. “Can anyone suggest some good products or moisturizers? Nothing I’ve tried will help the dryness. His hair seems to soak up everything instantly.”

Needless to say that Mrs. Smith received stark criticism for saying that her son “wasn’t blessed” with “silky” hair. “He was perfectly blessed,” one critic said. “But baby boy is still blessed to have the hair he has … all hair is beautiful,” another follower wrote.

There were many other comments in this vein, which made Crystal put on her entrepreneurial hat and return to the Internet. “Thank you guys for the negativity, because once again I’m going to channel it into something positive,” she said. “I am now in the process of creating a hair care line for mixed children … so thank you once again.” You can always depend on social media, Crystal!

Ne-Yo and his wife are expecting their second child, a son, to arrive in coming weeks. Stay tuned to see how Crystal makes her vision of a children’s hair care line a reality!
