ACTOR GABRIEL SILVA AND FRIENDS SURPRISE LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WITH TICKETS TO SEE ‘BLACK PANTHER’

In addition to Silva and Oakes’ donations to the school, local Houston attorney Michelle Eddington, of McDonald Worley PC, matched the pairs funds in order for the budding philanthropists to buy additional tickets.

“When Gabriel asked me to help, I was all in. We have been so fortunate to get the opportunity to do what we love, so giving back should just be a part of it,” comments Oakes. “I think that kids have to help and support other kids. When Gabriel told me about the additional donation from Miss Eddington, we were exited that we could buy even more tickets than we planned. Don’t ever think that something small, when it comes from the heart, doesn’t mean something big to someone else.”

“Blackshear Elementary School is very thankful for the donation that we received,” commented school principal, Ms. Lewis, “We’re very proud of how Black Panther is having a positive effect on how little black boys and girls see themselves as superheroes.”

Congratulations to this dynamic duo for making a big impact in a small way! Stay tuned for more to come from these two as Silva has a new secret feature project due out next year and Oakes is currently focusing on making a big impact in the world of animal rights advocacy in addition to her modeling and acting.
