Starr Andrews is becoming one of the most recognized names both on and off the ice. The talented Los Angeles-native, who has captured the hearts of many, is not only a phenomenal ice skater but she is an amazing vocalist as well. The young rising star has flawlessly converted her skating program into nothing less than a full-fledged moment of true beauty and entertainment.

There are not many African-Americans in the sport of figure skating. How did you get your start?
My mother was an adult figure skater and started to figure skate before I was even born. When I was born she continued to skate and I would sit on the bleachers and watch. I would beg her to skate but at that time there weren’t any skates small enough to fit my tiny little feet. When my feet were big enough to fit in the skates I starting skating.
