Being a SAHM is hard-work. You are constantly on the clock, for the most part, 24-7-365. There are no paid vacations, sick days are non-existent, and you are expected to do it all, and most of the time, you do. But, even when you should be celebrating all that you do, many SAHM’s feel guilty about certain things that they shouldn’t.
Here are five things that many SAHM’s feel guilty about but shouldn’t. Remember, you are the true MVP of the game.
1. The house is a mess. Toys, books, clothes, and sometimes unidentified objects are scattered around the house and that’s okay. Unless you have a live-in maid to help you cook, clean, and do everything else on your list, a little household disarray, is okay. You will get to it when you can and then when everything is spotless and clean, it will be time for the kids to come home.
2. What’s for dinner—take out! Sometimes you just don’t have enough time or energy to cook a homecooked meal for dinner, and that’s okay. With Grubhub, Doordash, and more that can deliver an array of options ranging from healthy and organic to pizza, you have nothing to feel guilty about. Take that extra few moments that you are not in front of the stove while you wait on the delivery person to kick-up your heels and do something just for you.
