Tamera Mowry is one of many celebrity moms in Hollywood who juggles gigs with parental duties. “For me, I’ve learned to multitask with my job and being a mother,” the talk show host recently told Forbes. “When I’m at work, I make sure that everything is going well at home. Being a mother is a 24/7 job. When we get home, we still have to take care of our families. There is no downtime as a mom- even when you are sick. There are no sick days! Mothers also have to learn patience the hard way, which is a great leadership trait. Whether you have it or not, your patience is always tested.”

With so many responsibilities, and not nearly enough time in the day, can moms be both leaders at work and at home without going into full-on boss mode? Yes, according to Tamera.

“What is so great about being a mom is that there are the many facets that make up who we are,” she explains. “In some instances, silence is a solution; moms should always make sure they’re listening. There are times when a mom will have to be direct, or times where she will have to be empathetic or sympathetic. Being masculine or extroverted to succeed in the workplace is a limiting phrase for moms. We have a completely different job as a mother and caregiver.”

Tamera Mowry has two children, Ariah and Aden, with her husband, Adam Housley. Stay tuned for more celebrity mom news!
