BORIS KODJOE AND THE FAMILY HOST ‘FERDINAND’ SCREENING IN LOS ANGELES

Boris Kodjoe and the family served as hosts for the Los Angeles screening of Ferdinand this past weekend. The star family invited some of their best friends in the industry to attend the event at Zanuck Theater at 20th Century Fox Lot on Sunday.

Nicolas and Sophie joined their father and mother, Nicole Ari Parker, on the red carpet outside of the venue. Both of the kids rocked casual wear that was in line with their parents’ laid-back approach to fashion.

Ferdinand is a film that challenges the viewer to think outside of the box. We are accustomed to seeing the raging bull on television and in film. It is a rarity, however, to see the allegedly vicious animal showing concern for his fellow four-legged creatures.

Such is Ferdinand’s life: out-of-the-ordinary and every bit of amazing. The huge beast scares everyone in the marketplace of his hometown because of his size but is every bit the gentle flower who wouldn’t hurt a fly. Ferdinand doesn’t even kill the bee that causes him to wreak havoc at the flower festival. Of course, his wild behavior leads him right to the chopping block where he must either fight the system or accept the reality of death.

“I think it’s going to be one of those movies that you don’t mind seeing again,” John Cena, who portrays Ferdinand in the film, said during a recent interview. “The thing that I find the most powerful, and I hate to shove moral fiber down people’s throats, but when you can tell a story and take people on a fun ride and also leave them walking away with something, give them a little bit to think about. It’s a great, famous tale about, there’s more than meets the eye. You don’t judge a book by its cover.”

John Cena is joined by Boris Kodjoe, who portrays Klaus in the film, and Anthony Anderson who is Bones in the movie. Daveed Diggs (Dos) and Jerrod Carmichael (Paco) are also part of the hilarious cast. Ferdinand makes its public debut on December 15, 2017!
