Jaden Smith has finally dropped his debut album, Syre, and it is truly a complex creative reflection of the artist himself.
Inspired by Smith’s middle name, Syre is a follow up to his 2015 EP, delivering 17 tracks that encompass a montage of genres and diverse sounds full of dark, moody harmonies. The first four songs, “B,” “L,” “U,” “E,” take the listener on a slow, easy-melodic journey before blasting them into fully rock-infused sound.
Throughout the album, Smith raps about love, relationships, and heartbreak. A$AP Rocky can be heard on “Breakfast” while Atlanta-native Raury is featured on “Falcon”.
