DISNEY STAR ZENDAYA TO PORTRAY FIRST AFRICAN-AMERICAN WOMAN GRADUATE FROM VASSAR COLLEGE IN UPCOMING MOVIE

If you are a Disney fan or have one in your house, you have definitely watched the career of Disney star Zendaya Coleman morph into superstardom. As her series K.C. Undercover is quickly nearing its end, Zendaya is finally getting to spend more time on the big screen. With movies like Spiderman: Homecoming and The Greatest Showman, due out in 2018, under her belt, Coleman is definitely making evolution look easy.

In A White Lie, Zendaya will star alongside Tinseltown darling Reese Witherspoon, as she portrays the first African-American woman, Anita Hemmings, to graduate from the elite Vassar College.

Based on Karin Tanabe's book, "The Gilded Years," which tells the story of how Hemmings, a descendant of slaves, passed for white, so that she could attend the prestigious college in the 1890s.

What do you think? Will you be in line to see this upcoming film?
