At 17-years-old, many of us were just starting to think about college with filling out applications, scouting campuses, and more. Well, whiz kid Thessalonika Azru-Embry is beyond that and is already headed towards completing her doctorate degree.
Having earned her masters degree at just 14-years-old, this home schooled scholar is looking towards securing her advanced degree in aviation psychology, taking interest in the field because of her dad-a manager at O’Hare International Airport.
“When I began to think about a profession, I chose one where I could make an impact,” Azru-Embry said in an interview with Black Doctor. “I feel honored for the opportunity to help others at an early age. I feel very glad to enter college and help people.”
The young teen hopes to, after completion of her degree, to use her knowledge to help aviation companies reduce “human factor errors” that cause plane crashes. To gain further insight into the human psyche, Azru-Embry is currently in the process of writing her dissertation on dreams.
