While everyone is settling in after a good summer vacation, Cree Summer and her family are just getting into the swing of things. The celebrity mom recently shared pictures from the group’s recent trip to Hawaii with Instagram fans.
“KAUAI and THE SAVAGES,” Cree captioned underneath a candid of her daughters, Hero and Brave, striking poses. The girls were dressed for the laid-back mood that is Hawaii. “The future looking bright,” one fan said. “Love the way you’re raising the next generation,” another wrote. “God Bless the freaks,” the subscriber added.
Cree is not ashamed to admit that her kids are adventurous to the extent of being completely edgy. Such is one of the reasons why she references Hero and Brave as “the savages” when posting candids of them online.
“Listen, if you had dinner with them you’d say, these girls are savages. Or just went to the grocery store, you’d say, oh dear god they are savages,” Cree said during an interview last year.
“They are so blazingly individual and they teach me so much every day,” the star mom explained. “My job now is to maintain their fearlessness. When Hero falls down or Brave blurts something out and everybody stares, we crack up. I don’t want them to get to that point where they are embarrassed or scared of everything. That’s the danger of growing up, you just get so f*cking afraid of everything. And what you’re usually most afraid of is the judgment of a bunch of people you wouldn’t even hang out with on purpose. Who gives a sh*t?” Right on!
Cree Summer and her husband, Angelo Pullen, are the proud parents of two daughters. Brave is the oldest of the two and celebrated her sixth birthday in March. Hero turns 5-years-old in January.
